But God demonstrates his own love for us in this, While we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 –
Can you imagine this, God knew that while His son would be dying on the cross for the sin of the world. They would be gambling to see who can take the last bit of garments He had left. We are so quick to feel offended by the things that people do to us, sometimes unknowingly.
We find the need to put them in their place or hurt them in some way, mostly with our words. This just shows why we need saving because we can not look past the hurt and see them through God’s eyes. Even when we have it in us to forgive them we still choose ourselves. We still choose to put ourselves first.
When on the cross God put you and me first in spite of the hurt, the lashes the spit, the words, the abuse Jesus still chose us.
Praying with you today that this will be a good day, that today we will choose the high road, God’s road.
