Good Evening Ladies, can you believe that we have just stepped into the first few seconds of the new year saying it out loud seems so unreal – 2025. I still remember the beginning of 2023, it feels as if I blinked and two years of my life disappeared. I am sitting on Anchored In Hope in the lagoon of Knysna, gazing out at into the dark horizon of this new year and reflecting on the fullness of God in my life. So many times, I’ve questioned the calling He has placed on me, wondering why the obstacles seem so vast and unrelenting. But as I sit here, caught between the close of 2024 and the promise of 2025, the gentle sway of the boat reminds me of the steady hand of my Savior. His grace has carried me through storms and calm waters alike, stepping in at just the right moments and proving His faithfulness time and again.
John 1:16 – “For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”
I have come to realise that each new year is more than just a turn of the calendar page—it is a chance to pause, to reflect on the highs and lows, and to press deeper into the walk with our Savior. This year, 2025, holds a prophetic promise: grace upon grace will be poured out on each of us who have remained steadfast, unshaken, and faithful to the calling God has placed on our lives. As we stand on the threshold of this new season, let us celebrate the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, who sees us, sustains us, and rewards those who seek Him wholeheartedly.
There is a biblical significance of this new beginning. The number 2025 carries a profound message for the children of God. Biblically, the number 25 represents the fullness of grace multiplied—grace upon grace—and the power of divine restoration. I look ahead excited to see the promise of this new season, my heart anchored in the word of God, my heart asking Lord just take me deeper and deeper still. I want to know you more. I am reminded in this moment that the One who called me is faithful, that He sees every sacrifice and honors every moment of obedience.
The path ahead may be unknown, but the One who leads me is steadfast. As I press into this new year, my prayer is to walk boldly in His light, to love deeply as He has loved me, and to stand firm in the truth of His promises. I carry forward the lessons of 2024, knowing that each moment has been a preparation for what lies ahead. This is the dawning of a new season, and my heart is ready to step into the fullness of what God has planned.
As we face this year, let your heart be filled with gratitude for His sustaining power. This year, grace upon grace will be released on those who know and serve God. The faithful grind of staying true to Him, even when the world tempts us to turn away, will bear fruit. Remember: God is a constant light in the darkness, and He never forgets His children.
