A reminder to me every day of what it is to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Every day is a struggle to try and do the right thing. To look past our own struggles and focus on the struggles of others. This is what we need to focus on as women of Christ. We are to stretch out our arms and do what we can to hug the kid on the street. Feed the person who is hungry. I think if I had to be honest with myself this is harder said than done. It’s not easy to hug the kid who hasn’t bathed for months or feed the mommy who has been digging in the trash for something to eat. If I look at the example Jesus Christ set, I know that this is what I need to be doing. I need to be the warm hand of love on a cold night. A warm plate of food when someone is hungry. I pray that God will make me stronger, that in these moments of my own need, I will not focus on myself but be a woman of strength and dignity. That when people look at me and wonder who I am.. my life will answer a proverbs 31 women… a woman serving the one true Christ
