Being Humble Means Acting Justly

13 Matthew 2310 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted. 1

Morning Ladies on this cold winter morning. I pray you will have a beautiful day, planting yourself where you may find yourself.

“I prefer you to make mistakes in kindness than work miracles in unkindness.”

– Mother Teresa

So many of us want to stand out in life, maybe in our career, in our ministry. Maybe be better than a friend who keeps you under their thumb, making you feel bad about who you are. What does Matthew say, when you want to stand out? Step down, and release your need to become the first place in everything you do.

Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

– Natthew 23:10-12

Become a servant, as the example set by Jesus. Not being arrogant but humbling ourselves, the word says If we puff ourselves up, we will get the wind knocked right out of us. Bringing us to a place where we will be humbled. But if we are content to simply be ourselves, our life will count for plenty

Dear Lord, thank you that we can know that the humble offerings of our lives are more than enough for You, Amen.
