Do Not Give Away Your Value

Website Banners Womans Month

Good morning, ladies. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been writing about the women of the Bible, taking a journey through their stories, struggles, and triumphs. As I’ve walked through their lives on the page, I’ve noticed one common thread that ties us all together: the lies we believe and the defeat that the enemy — and sometimes even ourselves — can bring into our lives.

It’s a dangerous thing, the power of words. Not just the words spoken over us by others, though those can wound deeply. It’s also the words we say to ourselves in moments of doubt or failure — the harsh inner critic that tells us we’re not enough, that we are too much, too little, too broken, too late, or too messy. I’ve felt that sting myself. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and despise the reflection I see, to watch my own failures and disappointments pile up until they become weapons I wield against my own heart, my own sense of worth, my own identity.

Sometimes, it feels like we are our own worst enemy. We take the lies whispered by the enemy — that we are unworthy, unloved, or forgotten — and we layer them with our own insecurities, creating a distorted version of ourselves that feels impossible to escape. Every failure becomes a personal attack, every criticism a confirmation of our inadequacy. And yet, the truth is, none of this reflects the reality of who God says we are.

The Word of God paints a different picture — a picture of extraordinary worth, beauty, and purpose. It tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that we are chosen and called, holy and loved (1 Peter 2:9). The Word reminds us that we are daughters of the King, clothed in strength and dignity, able to laugh without fear of the future (Proverbs 31:25). It does not say we are too much or too little — it says we are treasured beyond measure.

Yet, many of us live as though our value must be earned or proven through others. We apologise for our presence. We shrink in rooms where we were meant to stand tall. We silence our voices to avoid criticism. And every time we do, we give away a piece of the God-given value that belongs to us.

The truth is this: your value is not negotiable. It cannot be earned or taken away. It is sealed by the blood of Jesus and written in the Word of God. The Holy Spirit whispers this truth daily, if we are willing to listen. When lies rise up — telling us we are unworthy, unloved, or forgotten — we must stand firm and declare the truth of God’s Word over our lives.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”.

– Romans 12:2

As women, we are called to a higher understanding of who we are. Not defined by opinions or circumstances, but defined by God’s perspective. The enemy will continue to whisper lies, and people may continue to fail us. But the Spirit of God is faithful to remind us of our worth, our strength, and our purpose. We do not give away our value when we walk in the Word.

Today, let this be your declaration:

  • You are chosen, not rejected.
  • You are called, not overlooked.
  • You are loved, not abandoned.
  • You are strong, not weak.
  • You are enough, because He says you are.

Claim Your Victory: Standing in Your God-Given Value

Ladies, God is advocating for you. Even now, in the quiet moments when you feel overlooked, unloved, or unworthy, Jesus stands beside you, interceding and declaring your value to the Father. He does not see you as broken, second-best, or forgotten, He sees a daughter, chosen, called, beloved, and crowned.

Victory begins the moment we recognise that truth and choose to speak it over ourselves. Every lie the enemy has whispered loses its power when we anchor our hearts and minds in God’s Word. Every past failure, every hurtful word, every moment of self-doubt can be surrendered at the cross, replaced by the truth of who we are in Christ.

You have permission today — permission from the Spirit of God — to stand, to speak, to rise, and to advocate for yourself, not in pride, not in self-glory, but in alignment with the One who has already proclaimed your worth. Let your voice echo the same message that Jesus carries before the Father: “This is my daughter, chosen and beloved. She is strong. She is enough. She is mine.”

Receive it. Believe it. Live it. Walk forward, not in fear or hesitation, but in full assurance of your God-given value. Let every step you take, every word you speak, every choice you make be marked by the victory of knowing that the Author of life has already declared your triumph. You are not just surviving — you are rising. You are not just existing — you are fulfilling your God-given purpose.

Let today be the day you refuse to give away your value. Let today be the day you step fully into the identity Jesus has already secured for you. Victory is yours, beloved. Stand in it, walk in it, and let the world see the power of a woman who knows her worth in Christ.
