As we embark on a new month, I find myself at the threshold of an exciting journey into the realm of spiritual warfare. September, with its spring air brings with it a time of transition and change, offering up an opportunity to delve into the word of God and really look at what we as Children of the Great I Am can do, to take back what the enemy has taken from us.
It’s a season for us to stand up with the Word of God and wage war, it’s time we learnt what our weapons are and how we can use them. A New season is on our doorstep and if we do not know how to go into combat and do spiritual warfare. This month, we invite you to join us on a journey of exploration, learning, and application as we dive into several topics surrounding this crucial aspect of our faith.
Understanding the Importance of Spiritual Warfare: In the realm of Christianity, we are often reminded that our journey is not one of mere physical existence, but a spiritual expedition as well. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” This powerful truth emphasizes the reality of the unseen battle that rages on around us.
Just as a soldier prepares for warfare by arming themselves with the right weapons and strategies, so too must we arm ourselves for the spiritual battles we face.

The amour of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18, is our divine defence against the schemes of the enemy. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit are all essential components of our spiritual armament.
Throughout the next few weeks, we will be focusing on a series of topics designed to deepen our understanding of spiritual warfare and equip us for the challenges that lie ahead.

- Spiritual Authority: Discovering our authority in Christ and learning how to exercise it in spiritual warfare situations.
- Victory through Worship: Exploring how worship can serve as a powerful tool to shift the spiritual atmosphere and declare God’s sovereignty.
