Our Freedom

Ephesians 17

Good Morning Girls, I am sure your day is well on its way, the dew has dried up and the sun has set itself in the sky. We have birds chirping and the sound of water dropping around us as they drip from the boat into the water below.

Today I want to speak a bit about our freedom, not just the act of setting us free but what our freedom means to us who were aware that we were slaves to this world. A world that is ruthless not caring whom it takes with it.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

– Ephesians 1:7

We are saved in faith, not one Because of the sacrifice of our Messiah, His blood poured out on the Cross, we are set free, free of carrying the cost, paying the penalties, carrying on our shoulders, in our veins the punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds.

We were not just barely set free, either, we were abundantly set free!!! When Jesus paid our price, He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, He made sure the full price was paid nothing was left to chance.

He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.

“Until conviction of sin brings us down on both knees, until we are completely humbled, until we have no hope in ourselves left, we cannot find the Savior.“

– D.L. Moody

Dear Lord, thank you that I can know that I walk in freedom paid for in full. It’s not through anything I could have done, a price I could have paid. You brought the lamb to the alter for my sacrifice. May I live my life, drenched in Your blood and restored in your body. Keep me fully committed to You Amen.
