Reflections

I often find myself relating to Jesus, who would retreat in a boat to find solitude away from the crowds. Living on a sailboat provides me with plenty of time for deep reflection and personal conversations with my Creator. It’s in these moments of quiet that I hear His voice most clearly, and I do my best to share the insights, thoughts, and revelations from these sacred conversations with you here in this corner of our blog.

Esther – Such a time as this

Esther’s story isn’t just ancient history; it’s a living invitation. It reminds us that God often positions ordinary people in extraordinary moments. Not to elevate them, but to reveal Himself through them.

If you’ve ever felt the weight of responsibility press against your chest…

Deborah – When God Says Go

8

“Up! For this is the day…” (Judges 4:14)
Deborah didn’t wait for permission.
She didn’t ask if it was her place.
She heard God’s voice… and she moved.
She was a judge, a prophetess, a warrior, and a mother.

She led a nation when women weren’t expected to lead.
And she reminds us: your gender does not disqualify your calling.

Miriam – When Praise Leads the Way

7

“Then Miriam… took a tambourine in her hand.” (Exodus 15:20)
She watched. She waited. She worshipped.
Miriam didn’t just survive Egypt – she led praise on the other side of the Red Sea.
Your voice matters.
Your worship is powerful.
Even if you’re still coming out of your own Egypt, pick up your tambourine.

Rachel – When Longing Lingers

6

“Then God remembered Rachel…” (Genesis 30:22)
Have you ever felt like your prayers are gathering dust?
Like everyone else is receiving what you’ve been crying out for?
Rachel’s story reminds us: longing is not weakness. And waiting is not wasted.

Even in the ache, God is working.
Even in the silence, He remembers.

Do Not Give Away Your Value

Website Banners Womans Month

It’s a dangerous thing, the power of words. Not just the words spoken over us by others, though those can wound deeply. It’s also the words we say to ourselves in moments of doubt or failure — the harsh inner critic that tells us we’re not enough, that we are too much, too little, too broken, too late, or too messy. I’ve felt that sting myself. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and despise the reflection I see, to watch my own failures and disappointments pile up until they become weapons I wield against my own heart, my own sense of worth, my own identity.

I Gave My Worst, You Gave Your Blood

I gave my Worst you gave your blood

– I gave my worst.
– He gave His blood.
That is the Gospel. Not my strength, not my perfection… but His sacrifice. Every failure met by His mercy. Every sin washed by His blood.

“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

If you feel unworthy, remember: at the cross, your shame was traded for His covering.
