As women of God, we are called to be faithful, fearless, and fruitful. We are not defined by our circumstances but by our identity in Christ. We are His beloved daughters, His precious jewels, His radiant lights.
As a woman of faith, it is so exciting sitting here looking at this screen and remembering where I was and how far I have come. A Daughter of the Most High King, that is who we are, we have faced life and here we are, still standing.
Sometimes we need to cry an ocean before getting stronger. Life can be hard and painful, and we may feel like we have no hope or strength to carry on. But crying is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of humanity. Crying helps us release our emotions, heal our wounds, and cleanse our souls.
The Bible tells us that God collects our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). He sees our pain and hears our cries. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Corinthians 1:4).
One of the most well-known authors of all time, William Shakespeare, wrote: “To weep is to make less the depth of grief.” Crying can help us cope with our grief and move on with our lives. It can also help us connect with others who share our sorrows and joys. Leo Tolstoy, said: “Tears are the natural language of the soul.”
So next time you feel like crying, don’t hold back. Let your tears flow freely and know that you are not alone. God is with you, and so are many people who care about you. Crying is not the end of the story, it is the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter where you will grow stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. A chapter where you will shine like a star in the sky (Philippians 2:15)
You my dearest sister in Christ are called for a time such as this, you have faced your sorrows and you have stood up and you are moving forward. It is through your moving that the sackcloth of mourning will be released and you will receive the yoke of Jesus that brings healing, comfort and joy.
Let us celebrate woman’s Month by honouring Him with our lives, and turning to our Father when life is hard. Remember in your weakness God is your strength.
