Hello, my fierce and faith-filled sisters, Let me speak to the ones who have dared to follow Jesus not just to the shore – but beyond it. Out on the water, where the wind howls and the waves don’t play nice. That’s where I found myself. Not in calm seas, not with a gentle breeze at my back, but in the thick of it – called out by the voice of the One I love, only to realize that the season I stepped into wasn’t one of peace… but of war.
Yes, warfare.
And not the metaphorical, “I lost my car keys again, the devil is after me” kind. I mean the real battle – the kind that takes place in the spirit, where your peace is hunted and your purpose is targeted. Where every step of obedience feels like it stirs hell’s hornet’s nest.
But sisters, let me say this: We were not called to sit comfortably on the shore. We were called to walk where others sink. And sometimes, that means walking straight into a season of warfare – not because we are weak, but because we’ve been equipped. Because God trusts us enough to step out in the storm, armored and unafraid.
So if you’ve followed Jesus out into the deep and found yourself suddenly dodging arrows instead of riding waves – welcome. You are right where He needs you. This season isn’t for sinking. It’s for standing.
Let’s talk about it.
This Is the Season of Warfare – Not a Mistake, but a Mandate:
Ladies, hear this clearly: you didn’t wander into this war – you were sent. This isn’t chaos. It’s a divine commissioning.
Too often we think that following Jesus means peace without pressure, favor without fire. But the truth is, the deeper we follow Him, the more the battle intensifies. Why? Because when a daughter of God starts to step out, fully armored and fully awake, hell takes notice.
This season isn’t about survival. It’s about position. God isn’t asking you to run, to hide, or to explain away the pressure. He’s commanding you to stand. To recognize that what’s coming against you is not greater than what’s been placed within you.
The war is not a sign of your weakness—it’s proof of your calling.
You’ve been trained in the quiet places. Now it’s time to engage. You’re not a civilian in this fight. You’re a warrior. And this battlefield? It’s your assignment.
In seasons of war, we must be fully armed with God’s truth and strength. Ephesians 6:10-18 lays out the full armor of God, which enables us to stand against the devil’s schemes – This is the Season to:
- Strap on the belt of truth and silence the lies.
- Tighten the breastplate of righteousness and protect your heart.
- Plant your feet in peace and refuse to be moved.
- Lift the shield of faith and block every flaming dart.
- Guard your mind with the helmet of salvation and keep your focus.
- Draw your sword—the Word of God—and use it.
Don’t wait for the storm to calm before you decide to be brave. This season is not for retreating. This is your rising.
There are seasons of battle in every believer’s life – times when the enemy’s attacks seem relentless and the weight of spiritual warfare presses heavily upon us. Just as nature cycles through different seasons, so do our spiritual journeys. Some seasons are for planting, some for harvesting, and others for enduring storms. In these seasons of warfare, God does not leave us defenseless. He calls us to stand firm in faith, equipped with His armor and unwavering in our trust in Him.
Recognizing the Season of Warfare
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Just as there is a time for peace, there is also a time for battle. When we enter a season of spiritual warfare, the enemy often targets our faith, our relationships, our identity in Christ, and our perseverance. This is why God instructs us to be alert and vigilant.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…” – 1 Peter 5:8-9
To resist is to take your post under divine command and not move. It is to live under orders higher than your emotions, louder than your fear, and stronger than your past. The devil doesn’t flee because you’re loud — he flees because you’re aligned.

Standing Firm, Not Retreating
The armor of God is designed for standing – not running. In every battle, victory is already secured in Christ. Our role is to remain steadfast, refusing to be shaken by the enemy’s tactics. This season is not meant to break us but to refine us, strengthening our trust in God’s promises.

Warfare with Purpose
Seasons of battle are not wasted seasons. They deepen our dependence on God, sharpen our discernment, and prepare us for the victories ahead. Whether we are facing trials in our personal lives, spiritual attacks, or intense moments of doubt, God is faithful. He not only arms us for battle but also stands with us, ensuring that we emerge stronger.
During my journey aboard Anchored In Hope, we experienced a challenging season when our boat broke down on the Breede River. I was frustrated and questioned why our path had come to an abrupt halt. However, as I turned to prayer and immersed myself in the Word, I began to understand that this period of stillness – being anchored in the harbor rather than sailing ahead – was not a setback but a season of preparation.
This is your charge, daughters of fire:
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
– Ephesians 6:10
Do not bow to fear.
Do not flinch at the sound of war.
Do not trade your armor for comfort or silence your voice to avoid conflict.
The enemy does not get the final word—you do, with the sword of the Spirit in your hand and the roar of heaven in your chest.
It became clear that God was using this time to ready us for the hearts of the people He was entrusting to us. Life, much like our journey with God, isn’t always filled with sunsets and calm seas. There are moments of trials and storms – faith-testing seasons that bring us to our knees. Yet, it is in these very moments that we are refined and equipped for the next leg of the journey.
You were never called to live hidden or afraid. You were called to rise up in the middle of the fight and show hell that you know exactly who you are in Christ.
Dressed for the Battle You Didn’t Choose, But Were Born For
There are battles we would never have chosen for ourselves—but God chose us for them.
Maybe the arrows have been flying faster than you can raise your shield. Maybe the ground under your feet has been shaking, and you’ve asked God, “Why this? Why now?” Let me remind you, warrior woman—you were not left defenseless.
Ephesians 6 isn’t a suggestion; it’s a strategy.
God doesn’t hand you armor for decoration—He clothes you for confrontation. And not one piece is missing. He saw the fight ahead of you and declared, “She’s ready for this.” Not because you’re strong on your own, but because He is strong in you.
You are not outnumbered. You are not overwhelmed. You are armed.
Let that truth settle in your spirit today:
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
—Ephesians 6:10–11 (NIV)
You were not called to fight from defeat but from victory. Christ already overcame – your job is to stand your ground and push back the darkness with everything He’s placed inside of you.
So today, tighten your armor. Lift your head. Speak His Word louder than the enemy’s accusations. Stand firm—not because you feel fearless but because you know who fights beside you.
This is not just another hard season. This is a holy war. And you, daughter of the Most High, are chosen to walk through it in power.
So stand your ground.
Stand when it would be easier to quit.
Stand when the battle feels unrelenting.
Stand when your knees shake and your hands tremble.
Stand with the authority of a woman who belongs to the King.
Because in this season of warfare, your stance is your worship, your resistance is your testimony, and your perseverance is your weapon.
You don’t fight alone. You don’t fight unseen. You fight backed by the armies of heaven and the Word that never fails.
So rise, warrior.
This is not just warfare.
This is holy ground.
For the Woman in the Battle
Dear Lord God, I come before You today, not as a bystander, but as a woman in the middle of the war.
You see the battles around me – the noise, the pressure, the resistance. But You also see the fire in my bones and the armor I wear. You placed it on me Yourself.
Father, I will not retreat. I will not crumble. I will not hand over ground You’ve called me to stand on. Strengthen me for this fight – not with the strength of the world, but with the might of heaven. Remind me that the battle is not mine alone – You go before me, You stand beside me, and You dwell within me.
In this season of warfare, sharpen my discernment.
Train my hands for battle and my heart for endurance.
Teach me to wield Your Word with authority, to block every lie with faith, and to walk in peace when the storm rages around me.
When I grow weary, breathe courage into me again.
When I feel alone, remind me that I fight from a place of victory, not defeat.
You are my Commander, my Defender, my Source.
I declare that no weapon formed against me will prosper.
I will stand firm, fully armored, fully awake, fully Yours.
In the name of Jesus – my Banner, my Fortress, my King – Amen.
