Bread Of Life

I always feel a physical embrace from my Father when I read the words of John 6:35. As a woman, I often find solace in nurturing others, pouring my love into every aspect of life. Yet, amidst the busyness of everyday life, I must constantly remember to nourish my own soul. Look for God in the Bible, be still in my spirit and wait on Him, lift my eyes away from the day-to-day of life and see the goodness of Christ in all things.

“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.'”

John 6:35

In this verse, we discover a deep wellspring of grace and sustenance. It is a reminder that when we seek spiritual bread, our souls shall be filled, and our spirits shall be quenched. Just as bread nourishes our bodies, the presence of Christ nourishes our souls, granting us the strength and endurance we need.

“Seek not only the bread of life and the living water of Christ, but also the love of Christ that dissolves all the barriers you have built within yourself against it.”

As women, we often build walls around our hearts, protecting ourselves from pain and vulnerability. However, in breaking down these barriers, we allow Christ’s divine love to flow freely, filling our souls with a profound sense of purpose and peace. The nourishment we receive from Him breathes life into our beings, enabling us to flourish and embrace the fullness of who we were created to be in Christ.

As we navigate the beautiful complexities of our lives, let us always remember to seek the bread of life. May we embrace the nourishment offered by Jesus, allowing His love to flow through us, renewing and uplifting our spirits. In doing so, we become vessels of love, radiating His light to those around us.

Dear Lord, thank you that I can know that you are the bread of life, that you feed my hungry soul. As a deer pants for water, my soul hungers for You, teach me your ways and feed me your bread that contains life. A life that changes every area of my life. Amen
