Do you remember a time when your kids tried to convince you to do something or to give them something that they really, really wanted?
“Mommy pleeeeease! I will do anything you ask me to do if you will just buy me this toy.” Of course, you had a chuckle or you may have become a bit annoyed. Sometimes you gave in and other times you had to say no.
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe
Hebrews 12:28 ESV
So often when we pray we want to convince God to bend to our own selfish will… but… God promises that He will supply our every need and that means that we can focus our prayers on being thankful. We can ask Him to use us to build and extend His kingdom here on earth and then start by teaching our kids and those around us about Him.
Father, I praise you for every blessing. I thank you for your provision in my life daily. Please use me as an instrument in Your mighty hands to make disciples of your children and to win souls for Your Kingdom. Amen
