Daily Verse: Proverbs 13:3

As I reflect on Proverbs 13:3, “Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin,” I am reminded of the incredible power that our words hold. Each utterance has the potential to either bring life or destruction, to build up or tear down.

In our daily interactions, may we be mindful of the words we choose, for they reflect the state of our hearts.

Heavenly Father, I come before You, recognizing the impact my words can have on others and on myself. Help me guard my lips, not just from hurtful speech, but also from thoughtless words that can cause harm. May the words I speak be a reflection of Your love, grace, and wisdom.

Lord, teach me to speak with intention and kindness, to uplift and encourage those around me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that my words may be a source of comfort, healing, and inspiration. May my conversations be infused with Your truth, guided by Your Word. I humbly ask for your guidance, O Lord, to use my speech to glorify You and to bring hope to those in need. May my words be a testament to Your transformative work in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
