My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26 –
The assumption of this psalm verse is that we as humans are weak and sometimes we do not resist the temptations of the world.
But says the Psalmist, my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is my strength and my portion forever. Even though I walk in the valley of death and destruction i will fear no evil, because God is my portion.
Even if everything is destroyed in my life I won’t stay broken, I will rise up for God is my portion. Even if I am sick and my body is weak, I will not give in, for God is my portion. Should every man rise up to torment me, I will not back down in fear, for God is my Portion. And Because God is my portion I can know that in a world where there is evil. I am saved because my heart is strong and God is my portion.
Dear Lord thank You, that I can stand on these words when I feel that I have missed the mark. I can know that regardless of how I feel the truth is that You have promised to be my portion. Amen
