I am Created as Loved

Morning Ladies and gents, I am grateful that we can celebrate Jesus Christ together, and do a deep dive into how He has called us from darkness into His marvellous light. Why can I say: “I am created as loved”

I sometimes wonder why God didn’t just let everyone die and start over with our race. Why walk with them in the wilderness, and rescue them from Egypt?  Why did God not save His son and create an obedient nation of people?

The reason is we serve a father who, with precision, stitched us together in our mother’s womb. He created each one with care and love, each mould unique. Each one with special talents, special plans, and a special calling. A life that was mapped out inside the word of God.

The most important gift given to us was born through LOVE. God designed each one of us for love – to receive His love and to share His love.

Take a few quiet moments and soak in the love of your Father, allow yourself to become immersed in the calling of love upon your life:

God loves us through Jesus, His Son – Who paid for our sins,

God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

– John 3:16-17

God’s love motivated the cross. The son of God would die and that one action would save the world.  This sacrifice gives us access to Grace upon Grace, we are free to enter the throne room of our Father.

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have also obtained access into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory. 3 Not only this, but we can also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance. 4 and endurance, character, and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

– Romans 5:1-5

After reading Romans 5:1-5, I can only conclude that we are a chosen nation from the onset of the world.

  • The love of God declares me righteous through the cross.
  • The Love of God allows me to obtain grace.
  • The love of God allows me to rejoice in suffering and produces endurance.
  • The love of God builds character, and character builds hope.
  • The love of God flows through me as His Spirit dwells within me.

It’s an amazing wake-up call when it sinks in that God created us chosen. We don’t deserve such a sacrifice, but He gave it anyway.

For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before him in love.

– Ephesians 1:4

God had you on His mind when He stood in eternity and contemplated your redemption. Only through the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ can we receive the plan that was put into place from the beginning of eternity. This included the cross. When Jesus hung on that cross, He knew us by our name. He knew that He would be our sacrificial lamb, the lamb that would purchase our freedom from the hands of an actual enemy.

I don’t know about you, but when I go through these verses, I cannot help but have a hop, skip and jump in my spirit, knowing how much my Father loves me. In love, He chose me. God created you and me in love. His son died because of an unimaginable amount of love.

He declares you righteous because He loves you.

He gives each of us this grace, even after the blood of His son flowed through the streets of Jerusalem, He still said this is my Spirit which I will leave with you, The Holy Spirit stayed behind to pick up the pieces of our lost and weary souls.

“The Gospel is the only story where the hero dies for the villain.”

I will remain in my Father’s love.

We are called to do the work of our Father:

  • 1 Cor 1:24 – But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

The calling on our life produces what it commands.

You are a Light to the World:

Matthew 5:14 – “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

We are called to live in the light:

  • Acts 13:47 – For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’

We are called to be the salt of the earth:

  • Matthew 5: 13 “You are the salt of the earth.

How do we share the love of Christ with the world? We share it by reaffirming it in our own Spirits:

  • 1 Corinthians 13:4 – Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. I am Loved
  • 1 Corinthians 13:5 – It is not rude, it is not self-serving; it is not easily angered or resentful. – I am not self-serving.
  • 1 John 4:19 We love because he loved us first. – I am Loved First
  • 1 John 4:16 –And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us. God is love, and the one who resides in love resides in God, and God resides in him. – I am residing in God’s love.
  • 1 John 4:12 – No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us, and his love is perfected in us. – I am perfected in God’s love.
  • 1 Pet 4:8 – Above all keep your love for one another fervent because love covers a multitude of sins. – I am covered in my Father’s love.
  • Rom 8:38-39 – For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – I am safe in my Father’s love.

When we fully grasp the unfailing love of our creator, towards us, we change. We can not stay the same. When interacting with others, we have to do it in love, showing the same mercy, the same grace given to us by our Dad in heaven.

Lord help us to meditate on Your word day and night so that we might become more and more like You. Help us to love the way you love and forgive the way you have forgiven us. Write the words on the walls of our hearts that it will forever be before us. Amen
