I will Be Right Here

I remember being the little girl who would frighten my brothers at night. The one who would tiptoe through the hallways in the dark, fearless and mischievous. But as life unfolded, tragedies and trauma left their indelible marks. Fear, like an unwelcome visitor, knocks at our door, leaving us frustrated, scared, and sometimes embarrassed.

Now, as a child of God for nearly 43 years, I stand as a mature woman of faith. Yet fear still raises its nasty head from time to time—a relentless battle. In this struggle, I must remember that I am not alone. I fight to hold my position in Christ, refusing to let the enemy steal my ground, my peace, or my safety.

The night can be terrifying. Darkness has a way of resurrecting painful memories, and silence can amplify our feelings of loneliness and vulnerability. But hear this: You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken.

Daughter of the King, take heart. The Mighty Warrior stands guard. His armor gleams, and His love is a lighthouse cutting through fog. He rejoices over you—yes, you!—as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride. Your brokenness, your scars—they are His canvas for redemption.

When you lie down, I will watch over you. When you sleep, I will give you peace. When you wake up, I will greet you with new mercies. When you face the day, I will go before you and behind you.

You are not defined by what happened to you. You are not damaged by what was done to you. You are not defeated by what you went through. You are more than a conqueror through him who loves you.

You are precious in my sight. You are beautiful in my eyes. You are valuable in my hands. You are glorious in my plan. You are my masterpiece, created for good works.

You are safe in my arms. You are secure in my promises. You are strong in my grace. You are free in my truth. You are healed in my wounds, and you are whole in my love.

Rest, dear one. Fear not. He is right here. When you lie down, He watches over you. When you sleep, He grants you peace. When you wake, new mercies greet you. When you face the day, He goes before and behind you. You are safe, cherished, and held in His everlasting love.
