Limits? What Limits?

When we considered sailing, the first thing I thought of was all the limitations illness and disease had put on my body and the fact that I could never do this. I love the ocean, didn’t know much about sailing, but already said to myself that it is impossible to do. I had to find ways around the limits I had put on myself so that we could move forward and do what God was calling us for.

I had to focus on the goal. The end game. I had to look past the limitation. If I looked at the limitation I would see nothing else.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

2 Cor 12:9

Jesus came to earth as a man and He experienced first-hand the limitations we humans face every day. When you look up to Him, you don’t see the walls around you. Let Him lift you out of that situation or circumstance or problem so that you may live a life without limits.

Father, thank You for giving me the wings to fly when I thought that I couldn’t do it anymore. Thank that my weakness becomes Your strength. Thank you that where I reach my limit, You begin. Amen
