- Birth and Background:
- Mary Magdalene is thought to have been born in Magdala, a fishing town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. Her name, Magdalene, likely indicates her origin from this place.
- She was a follower of Jesus, accompanying him and supporting his ministry with her resources. Her wealth suggests she was likely well-off.
- Deliverance from Demons:
- Luke 8:2, tells us that Jesus drove seven demons out of Mary including healing her from a physical ailment.
- Her healing marked the start of her committed discipleship.
