My Size Does Not Matter

Society and the mass media impose ideas about beauty on us. If the shape of your body does not fit a certain mould then you’re either overweight or you’re too thin – leaving us self conscious and feeling rejected.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:13-14 ESV

God does not see us like that. When God looks at us, He does not see my lazy eye or my crooked teeth. He sees all the potential that He created when He formed me in my mother’s womb. He makes no mistakes.

Thank you Father that my size does not matter. Thank you that You have a purpose for me no matter what the world sees in me. May my shortcomings be for Your Glory! Amen.
