The Gift Jesus Gave – Faith

Faith in the Silent Night

Christmas often brings with it the warmth of family, the joy of giving, and the beauty of light breaking through the longest nights. But at its heart, Christmas is about faith—a quiet, unshakable trust in the promises of God.

Imagine the faith it took for Mary to say yes to the impossible. A young girl, carrying the Savior of the world, trusting that the God who called her would also sustain her. Or Joseph, standing by her side, walking a road he didn’t choose, but believing in the divine purpose behind it.

And then there were the shepherds, humble and overlooked, whose faith stirred when angels broke through the stillness of their night. They ran to Bethlehem, guided only by the promise of God’s word.

Christmas reminds us that faith isn’t always loud or bold; sometimes, it’s quiet and steady. It’s believing in the unseen, trusting in God’s timing, and holding on to His promises even when life feels uncertain. Faith says, “God is working,” even in the silence.

In the midst of a chaotic world, let Christmas draw you back to the simplicity of faith. Like the shepherds, we may not have all the answers, but we have the assurance of God’s presence. Like Mary, we may not fully understand His plan, but we can trust His heart.

This season, let faith rise within you. Faith that the God who moved heaven and earth to bring His Son into the world is still moving in your life today. Faith that the promises spoken in the quiet of Bethlehem are still alive and active, even now.

Christmas isn’t just a story of what God did—it’s a reminder of what He’s still doing. Faith sees beyond the glitter and gifts to the miracle of Emmanuel, God with us. Let that truth anchor you, filling your heart with peace as you trust in the One who is faithful in every season.

Like Mary, true faith says yes to God’s plan, even when it feels impossible.

– Anchored In Hope

Heavenly Father,

In this season of wonder and light, we come before You with hearts full of faith. Thank You for the gift of Christmas, for the quiet reminder that You are a God who keeps His promises.  Just as Mary trusted in Your plan, help us to trust You in the uncertainties of our own lives. Like the shepherds, may we run toward You with hearts full of wonder, believing in Your word even when we cannot see the full picture.

Lord, strengthen our faith this Christmas. When the noise of the world feels overwhelming, draw us into the stillness of Your presence. Remind us that You are Emmanuel—God with us—working in the silence, moving in ways we may not yet understand.

Let our faith be a light that shines in the darkness, a reflection of Your unchanging love and faithfulness. We place our trust in You, knowing that the same God who sent His Son is still writing a story of hope and redemption in our lives.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
