Why Not Take a Chance with Jesus

You’ve been here many times. You are at a tipping point in your life. You’re facing a decision. How do you make a good choice?

How many times have you really given the decision entirely over to God? Yes sure, you’ve prayed for wisdom about some of the crucial decisions in your life and things may have worked out ok, but at the end of the day, you still feel like you’re rolling dice or shaking a magic 8-ball at every fork in the road. You’re letting “fate” decide.

Jesus said that we can leave those decisions up to HIm. We can trust Him to make the best choice for us. As our Father, He has our best interests at heart. This is what He says in His Word:

‘For I Know The Plans I Have For You’ Declares the Lord, ‘Plans to Prosper You and Not to Harm You, Plans to Give You Hope and a Future.

Jeremiah 29:11

Like you want to guide your child to have a better life than you did, so Jesus says that if we have a personal, intimate relationship with Him – if we look to Him for everything in our lives, He will take care of us.

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Isaiah 46:4

So why not give Jesus a chance. He gave it all on the cross so that we can have a great life. A life of purpose. A life filled with the good that comes from the Lord.

Father, I have made decisions for myself and my family on my own so many times. I admit that sometimes I pray only to get what I want instead of earnestly seeking your guidance in the matter. I humbly submit this to you, Lord. I know that You make all things work together for my good and that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I thank you, Father, that You will resolve the challenge that I face today. I praise you for the miracle that is about to happen and rejoice that Your Name will be glorified because I gave it to You. Amen.
