Rising of the sun.

We woke up this morning with a slight winter chill in the air, still warmer than most mornings so we were pleased.  We went out later than most mornings as I had hurt my back two days ago on something as stupid as opening the companionway hatch.

The morning is beautiful the sun waited for us as it was still peaking behind the mountain encasing Langebaan and its people.  If only they knew the beautiful picture they made with the sun rising above them and their beautiful town. Buildings reflect light from one place to another.

In the silence I feel the beauty tingling around me, it’s not a normal tingle like when something softly touches your foot.  It’s the tingle of supernatural, omnipresent beauty standing still for a moment awaiting the arrival of the sun, that is part of an orchestra of sound and light and beauty.

Creation echos the sacrifice that was made when we received the son who saved the world…

In the distance, the sound of a motorboat crossing the lagoon, breaks the silence bringing me back from a moment of worship. Reminding me that the world takes place and goes on even during the arrival of the “son”.

Every day we have an opportunity to remember the goodness and greatness of Jesus. with every rising sun, creation echos the sacrifice that was made when we received the son who saved the world…

Have a great day guys,
