My mom has a saying, it says “know your enemy and recognise his tactics so that you can ward him off while he is still in the distance”. This is hard to do because what it means is before we tell that white lie, or we are rude to the waiter, or treat our loved ones with disrespect. We have to realise in that moment that the enemy is taking our anger, our attitudes and using them to bring about his evil plan.
You are more then a pawn in the hands of an enemy out to devour you. You are the daughter of a King. Inside of you dwells the Holy Spirit, dove, comforter, our intercessor continuously advocating for us, we house the spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth who is always ready to step in and show us the way we should walk.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7
The enemy will not persist inside the presence of God’s word. Submit yourself to Jesus so that the truth of God’s word can be known in every situation.
Dear Lord, please keep your guiding hand over each one of us that we will recognise the tactics of the enemy, and bring your truth in to every situation that You will be glorified through us. Amen.
